Nowhere is it written that a parent’s holiday wish list should only
contain other people’s dream gifts. What are you hoping for this
Christmas?…

“Miss Lori” Holton Nash is host of the PBS Kids Preschool Block and founder of The CAMPUS Inc. (Celebrating Artistry Musicality Physicality United Successfully), a resource for families looking for recreational arts programming. She technically breaks the one-wish rule here, but we love her ideas so much that we’ll give her a pass.

“I wish for our children to be able to travel streets not peppered with salacious billboards. For them to listen to hip, danceable music unadulterated by sexual lyrics. For their school days to be safe, full of creativity and encouragement. For their play to be an active celebration of wonder, not sedentary and organized. For their meals to be full of vitamins and nutrients, and their sleep filled with dreams of what can be. My wish … I wish for childhood to be sacred again.”
