Miss Lori shares Anthony Edwards’ vision for a pediatric hospital in Africa.

On October 17th I had the great fortune to meet former ER star turned activist Anthony Edwards at Blog World in Las Vegas. He had a very important request.

Anthony Edwards is working to build a teaching Children?s Hospital in Africa. The name of the cause is Shoe4Africa.

The organization sends shoes to people who do not have them to help stop the spread of disease. The charity’s current goal is to raise 15,000,000 to build the first teaching children?s
hospital in Africa. Anthony told us at Blog World, “If 1.5 million people donate $10 we can get
this hospital built.” He went on to point out that a little bit goes a very long way in Africa. Together we can really make a change.

In the coming weeks Anthony Edwards has two more immerdiate goals. First his latest movie Motherhood opens this week. For the first two weeks, $1 from all tickets purchased through Fandango will be donated to charity. And then on November 1, Anthony and his friends will be running the ING New York City Marathon in honor of Shoe4Africa charty.

Anthony Edwards is putting his feet where his mouth is, moving toward a safer and brighter future for all children in this World, one step at a time.

SMILE On!
