Miss Lori gets heart smart with Kathy Kaehler and Healthy Ones

On my way to the market I met celebrity fitness trainer Kathy Kaehler! Well, that’s not exactly how it happened for me, but it did for many other people. For the last two months Kathy was on tour with Healthy Ones encouraging people to make smart choices for themselves and their families at the grocery store. The Healthy Ones street team was on hand with money saving coupons and recipe ideas, while Kathy put customers through their paces with her killer 5 minute circuit, (a great way to steal a workout out of our highly crowded days.)

I had a fantastic time working out with Kathy and I really took her suggestions to heart. One week after meeting with her I was in Southern Illinois shooting a commercial. There I was at 6am on a pier in “hurry up and wait” mode, when it hit me; thanks to Kathy I could make use of that downtime.

I laid a plastic table cloth I keep in my car for my shows on the ground and then I put a blanket on top of it for cushion. Next, I got down to business, literally. I got on the ground and did the very same circuit Kathy had me do the week before at the Jewel in Lockport; alternating leg and arm raises, push ups, twisting crunches, a plank, and roll down-walk outs. Each exercise is performed for 60 minutes in immediate succession. I felt so good after I did Kathy’s circuit, both in my body and in my heart, because I knew that I was actively taking a step towards living a happier, healthier life.

In this fast paced, take no prisoners World, it’s the little things that really make a difference, in your workout and at the grocery store. We can’t afford to toss away minutes, just like we can’t afford to toss away loose change. That’s why teaming up Kathy’s compact workout with Healthy Ones deli meats for a snack saves money, time, and most importantly, your heart. We have to exercise to keep our heart strong, but we also have to eat right to make sure that it lasts long. The Healthy Ones full product line is
certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), (signifying that their
products meet the AHA food criteria for saturated fat and cholesterol for
healthy people over age 2)!

Healthy Ones was kind enough to give me a number of coupons to use at the grocery store for my family. Now when I pack snacks to take to my kids afterschool, I know that I am not only feeding them well, but feeding them smart…for their heart.

So don’t be surprised if you catch me near my minivan on the ground doing Kathy’s five minute circuit, while my kids snack on Healthy Ones deli meats. Just a typical day for the on the go Miss Lori family. Making the most of our time, energy and resources.

SMILE On!
