Miss Lori says the 2011 Buick Regal Turbo is not your grandmother’s Buick

Since the beginning of the year I have had the great fortune of demoing several GM cars and SUVs. The best thing about it is because I am trying out vehicles for my community, I am getting behind the wheel of cars that I would normally pass by. Not because they don’t interest me, but because there are too many people in my family to fit in them for our regular every day use. It’s an interesting exercise. But let me tell you, this experience has been more than interesting, it’s been FUN!

This week I have been behind the wheel of a car that I never would have driven before, not jut because my family wouldn’t fit in it, but because, frankly, it’s a Buick. When I think of Buick I think of the first car that I remember my family having. It was a Skylark.

When I think of Buick I think old, stable, uninspired. But that was yesterday’s Buick, today’s a whole different story. Today’s Buick is HOT!

But my love for this 2011 Buick Regal Turbo is not just frivolous, it goes beyond the exterior, the zip and the buzz. Part of my excitement came from what I discovered when I determined the average gas mileage I got driving my giant children around my fair city of Chicago.

But the fun and surprises didn’t stop there and they weren’t just for me. My daughter discovered a secret passageway to the trunk.

My daughter made the backseat look so inviting, I had to try it myself. So I climbed on in…

It wasn’t as comfortable for me, which is why it would be hard for my 6’1″ 12 year old to sit in the back for any length of time. Which means the Buick Turbo will have to wait until I become an empty-nester in another decade or so. But judging from what I experienced, it is worth the wait.

SMILE On!
