I live as though I have no choice, in a time when choices abound.

I stay steady upon my course, while others move around.

I watch over people closely for they know not always what they need.

I do before I am asked. Anticipate, then exceed.

I swear my oath to freedom, make sacrifice my life,

so we all can live in peace, not ridiculed by strife.

I stand up, not with a gun to my head.

I stand up, proud with duty instead.

For if it’s got to be did, it’s got to be done.

No place to hide. No time to run.

I serve at the will of the people,

and consider this hallowed ground.

For it’s by the people, for the people,
